Yusuf Dantalle, the National Chairman of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), has been re-elected as the National Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) after a peaceful and unanimous vote at the council’s national headquarters in Abuja.
His unopposed return followed the withdrawal of his only challenger, paving the way for a second two-year term as the head of the umbrella body representing all registered political parties in Nigeria.
Chairman of the IPAC Electoral Committee, Dan Iwanyanwu, confirmed the outcome on Monday, December 8, expressing confidence in Dantalle’s continued leadership.
“He said that Dantalle emerged victorious and will now pilot the affairs of the body for another two years.”
The election also produced new national officers drawn from different parties. The Deputy National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Zainab Ibrahim, was elected Deputy National Chairperson, while Maxwell Mgbudem became the National Secretary.
