Dr Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) has described the embattled immediate past Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai politics revolves around himself, family, female friends and cronies.
He made the disclosure in an open letter to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT AHMED BOLA TINUBU OVER POLITICAL EVENTS IN KADUNA STATE
Your Excellency,
Prompting this letter Your Excellency, is the political development in our dear Kaduna State as things currently stand.
By way of a background,
Your Excellency knows too well that politics by is tailored to benefit the entire populace and not a few individuals as has been the case in Kaduna since 2015.
Prior to 2015 when the APC took Kaduna State by storm from the PDP which had held sway for 16 years, there had been equity in sharing the spoils accruing according to understanding by Politicians and other stakeholders in the state.
There was the unwritten gentleman’s agreement between the 3 Senatorial Zones of the State which ensured that all the 3 segments found representation and inclusiveness in the sharing of publicoffices within the State.
For example, when the office of the Governor goes to zone 1, naturally the deputy governorship position should go to the 2nd or 3rd Senatorial zones.
For a delicate balance, the Ministerial position usually went to the remaining Senatorial zone for the purpose of achieving inclusiveness and complete representation in the state. That means all the 3 Senatorial zones were fully represented at both the state and the Federation.
For 8 years running from 2015 when Nasiru Ahmed El Rufai became the Governor he had during the 8 years distorted or disrupted that arrangement and reducing same into a winner takes all.
Political inclusiveness and Local Governments constituency representation took flight.
When back in 2015 when APC came to power in Kaduna and though the party failed to win the Senatorial seat in the Southern zone, the Ministerial position should by that gentleman’s arrangement alluded to earlier should have gone to the Southern zone but this did not happen simply because the El Rufai leadership had made a Siberia of that zone.
As far as El Rufai was concerned, the politics of Kaduna State revolves only around him his Family, Friends, Female Friends and cronies.
The political isolation of Zone 3 has not in any way helped the fortunes of the APC and Peaceful Co-Existence in Kaduna
Put simply Your Excellency, the people of Kaduna State had a raw deal from the anti-people and impoverishment policies of the El Rufai style of Totalitarian and Destructive leadership.
Since 2015, the derivatives from political activities benefited only El Rufai, his close family members, friends, cronies and apologists which perhaps explains why the Sharply Divided APC failed to deliver Kaduna State in the 2023 Presidential vote.
Though El Rufai has left the stage in Kaduna, he appears to still be at the controls in the sole decision making in Kaduna as Extension of El-Rufai and Partners.
That his name was forwarded for the Senate screening for a possible Ministerial appointment was a rude shock to the impoverished people of Kaduna State. The reason for this is simple, El Rufai for 8 years left nothing behind to endear him to the majority people of Kaduna State.
His unguarded and disrespectful manner of speech to almost everyone who matters not only in Kaduna State, the entire Northern Elders. The former Presidents, not like limited to Goodluck Jonathan, Muhammadu Buhari and even Yourself has been legendary and most unprecedented.
Can this individual be trusted in to represent the state again?
El Rufai had openly boasted that he had never repeated a class meaning he had been a Minister prior and that he could not repeat in that position. Shockingly though the same El Rufai was to return to his vomit by forwarding his RESUME for the Senate screening.
Happily for the people of Kaduna State, the Senators in the light of the quantum of petition against him and other concerns had to as now obvious delay his screening.
The truth remains that El Rufai is a loose canon politically who will never adequately be concerned with the issues affecting the people of Kaduna but act only to pursue his personal interest as well as those of his cronies, friends apologists, and Business associates like the US fugitive Mr Jimi Lawal and his Gangsters.
Since his seeming rejection by the Senators, he has been unable to control himself given the utterances he has been making lately.
Since his fortuitous rise to political reckoning through the votes of the people, he has simply all but abandoned them and making a godlike individual of himself. He has now been telling those who have the time to listen to him that he never lobbied you for any position whatsoever. Everyone who knows him well must also know that, that is not true.
After failing to make the Ministerial list, it is said that he or the governor have forwarded the name of a certain Jaafaru Sani from Kubau LGA which is still in zone 1 as a possible replacement. This is the same zone which birthed the present Governor and the said kith and kins of Elrufai.
By this Open Letter to Your Excellency, WE are appealing that you intervene to ensure representation and inclusiveness in your government. The Ministerial position should go to Zone 2 or zone 3 where persons and Politicians of high calibre are well placed politically to take such a Ministerial position of the State.
Your Excellency is please requested to look critically into the sharing of political positions in Kaduna State.
The overconcentration of political offices in one zone is not auguring well for the APC in our dear State.
Democracy is all about representation and inclusiveness and we cannot be blind and insensitive to the concerns of the people.
It is in the this light Your Excellency that we are appealing for your intervention to ensure inclusiveness and fair representation as Kaduna State has a slew of highly qualified individuals who will work for the progress of our State as well as the country.
The records have it that both El Rufai and HE Uba Sani are all from the zone 1 but have conveniently registered in zone 2 for obvious political expedience only.
Given that the politics of the APC in Kaduna State is not only about El Rufai or anyone else but the entire members of the party and the People in the State,
WE earnestly are by this letter appealing to Your Excellency, the APC National Chairman to act swiftly to ensure that the concerns of the APC followership to act promptly to allay the fears of the people of Kaduna State and the Unity of APC in Kaduna State
