President Bola Tinubu has appointed seven new ministers to his cabinet, according to a statement from the presidency following the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday.
Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu was named the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, while Jumoke Oduwole was appointed Minister for Industry, Trade, and Investment.
Nentawe Yilwatda will replace the suspended Betta Edu as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, with Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi taking over the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
Other appointments include Idi Mukhtar Maiha as Minister of Livestock Development, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Suwaiba Said Ahmad as Minister of State for Education.
Additionally, Shehu Dikko was appointed Chairman of the newly reinstated National Sports Commission (NSC), which will take over the functions of the now-defunct Ministry of Sports Development.

Meanwhile, Sunday Dare, former Minister of Sports under President Muhammadu Buhari, has been appointed Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and Orientation. He will operate from the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
