Iworiso-Markson to speak at Bayelsa Creatives’ Converge

A former Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Bayelsa State, Dr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson says with the abundance of talents in the state, there is a great prospect of its creative industry.

Iworiso-Markson, who is billed to speak at the Bayelsa Creatives’ Converge, stated this in an acceptance letter to the organizers of the event.

He said the potential of the industry is yet to be fully harnessed, noting that with more collaborative efforts, the creative sector will become the next big thing that will not only create massive jobs but also increase the economic capital of the state.

The former Commissioner stated that he will be sharing his experience from the public and private sectors on what needs to be done to attract exponential growth for the sector and the pitfalls to avoid.

“I am excited to join other great minds to discuss issues of the creative sector. I feel so humbled to be chosen as Guest Speaker, and I thank the organizers for it.

“The event will afford me the great opportunity to share my knowledge on the importance of the industry and what needs to be done to take it to the next level.

“So, this is to express my firm support, acknowledgement, and commitment to you, the conveners of this event, given the importance of the creative industry to any economy,” he said.

The Bayelsa Creatives’ Converge, will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha Memorial Banquet Hall in Yenagoa at 10am.
