The Nigerian film industry has lost another gem as veteran actor Columbus Irisoanga, fondly known as ‘Igbudu,’ has passed away.
The heartbreaking news was shared by renowned actress and politician, Hilda Dokubo, who took to Instagram to announce Irisoanga’s demise.
In her emotional tribute, she revealed that the actor had “gone to be with the Lord.”
She further expressed the weight of his passing, emphasizing its impact on the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and Nollywood.
“Our uncle Coli @colu_mbusirisoanga has gone to be with the Lord. Ikoli eh dein na mu. There can’t be a shortage of Angels in heaven that the few here are called home like this na! This one is heavy on Uniport, Rivers State, Nollywood,” she wrote.
Columbus Irisoanga’s passing comes just days after the industry mourned the loss of 35-year-old actress Pat Ugwu, deepening the sorrow within Nollywood.
