All roads lead to Idanre, Ondo State, on Saturday, February 15, 2025, as top political figures, government officials, and dignitaries gather for the burial of the Obamoluwa of Idanre Kingdom, High Chief Moses Akinmade.
Expected at the ceremony are Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun; Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa; former Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko; members of the National Assembly; and other distinguished personalities.
Also set to attend are the former Military Administrator of Lagos State and Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd.); Senate Majority Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele; Senator Ali Ndume; and the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa.
Members of professional bodies and socio-cultural organizations, including the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Club 66 Idanre, and the Idanre Development Assembly (IDA), are also expected at the event.
The late High Chief Moses Akinmade, a respected community leader, cocoa merchant, and socialite, was the father of the Special Adviser on Media and Strategy to the Ogun State Governor, Hon. Kayode Akinmade. He passed away on August 5, 2024, at the age of 98.
Burial Arrangements
The burial rites will span Friday, February 14, 2025, to Saturday, February 15, 2025.
Wake-keep: Friday, February 14, 2025, at No. 30, Odolemo Street, Isalu Quarters, Odode Idanre.

Funeral Service: Saturday, February 15, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Idanre, Ondo State, at 10 a.m.
Internment: To follow immediately at his residence.
Reception: Guests will be entertained at Olofin Grammar School, Odode, Idanre.
The event is expected to be a gathering of top dignitaries, reflecting the legacy of the late High Chief Moses Akinmade.
