US Department of Veterans Affairs Challenges Trump’s Two-Gender Policy

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs has defied President Donald Trump’s executive order, which mandates the recognition of only two sexes male and female.

This revelation came to light through a report by the US-based media outlet LibsofTiktok, which raised the alarm on X on the 10th of February, 2025.

The post was subsequently reposted by Elon Musk, the leader of Trump’s backed Department of Government Efficiency.

According to LibsofTiktok, the Department of Veterans Affairs continues to include “non-binary” as a gender option on its data collection sheets, despite Trump’s directive.

“The US Dept. of Veteran Affairs is still listing ‘non-binary’ as a gender option on their data collection sheets,” the media outlet stated.

As of the time of filing this report, the Department of Veterans Affairs has yet to issue a response to the claim.

This development follows Trump’s inauguration on the 20th of January, 2025, during which he introduced two executive orders concerning gender recognition.

Just five days ago, he signed the ‘No Men in Women’s Sport’ executive order, effectively banning men from participating in women’s sports.
