Everton dominated the first half and took a commanding 2-0 lead with goals from Beto in the 19th minute and Abdoulaye Doucouré in the 33rd minute.

However, Manchester United responded in the second half, with Bruno Fernandes reducing the deficit in the 72nd minute with a stunning free-kick.

The momentum shifted in the visitors’ favor, and Manuel Ugarte found the equalizer in the 80th minute to make it 2-2.

As both teams pushed for a winner, Everton thought they had a chance to snatch victory when they appealed for a penalty in the dying moments of the game.

However, after a VAR review, the claims were waved off, leaving the home side frustrated as the match ended in a draw.

The result leaves both teams sharing the spoils, with Manchester United relieved to have salvaged a point and Everton ruing what could have been a late winner.
