Police Nab Seven Suspects for Armed Robbery in Enugu

The Enugu State Police Command has apprehended seven male suspects in connection with conspiracy and armed robbery incidents in the state.

The suspects, aged between 20 and 32, were arrested following a robbery report at Ibagwa-Nike on February 3 and 6, 2025.

Daniel Ndukwe, the Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, revealing that the arrests were made by operatives of the State Criminal Investigation Department (State CID) based on credible intelligence.

Items recovered from the suspects include one pump-action gun, two locally made pistols, two live cartridges, two machetes, and various stolen items such as SIM cards, identity cards, clothes, and supplement drugs.

The suspects, nabbed by the Anti-Robbery (D9) Section, have reportedly confessed to the crime and will face prosecution upon the conclusion of investigations.

Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, commended the operatives for the arrests while urging residents to stay law-abiding, vigilant, and cooperative with security agencies to curb criminal activities in the state.
