Beyoncé Has No Plans to Return to Acting — Tina Knowles

It’s official Beyoncé has left the world of acting behind. The music icon’s mother, Tina Knowles, recently confirmed that her daughter has no plans to return to the silver screen.

While it has been over a decade since Beyoncé last took on a major acting role, she did lend her voice to the 2019 remake of The Lion King and the upcoming Mufasa in 2024, where she shared the experience with her daughter, Blue Ivy.

Tina Knowles, reflecting on her daughter’s acting journey, took to social media to share a clip of Beyoncé’s powerful performance as Etta James in Cadillac Records.

In the caption, she expressed her admiration for the film and her nostalgia for Beyoncé’s acting days, writing:
“Cadillac Records is still one of my favorite movies, and it makes me miss the fact that my child decided not to continue with movies. She killed it in this role. And she so unselfishly donated her salary to the Phoenix House.”

Before stepping away from acting, Beyoncé graced the big screen with memorable performances in films like Carmen: A Hip Hopera, Austin Powers in Goldmember, and the Oscar-winning Dreamgirls.

While fans may never see her take on another film role, her legacy in Hollywood remains unforgettable.
