The whirlwind romance between popular Nigerian singer and skit maker, Oluwadolarz, and his ex-fiancée, Ifeluv, has taken a dramatic turn as he finally speaks out about the controversy surrounding their breakup.
Amidst the social media storm, Oluwadolarz made a startling revelation claiming that Ifeluv persistently pressured him into proposing.
Addressing her direct question on why he went ahead with the engagement, he simply responded, “You pressured me to propose to you.”
Taking to Instagram to clear the air, he expressed gratitude to his colleagues who checked on him, while also throwing shade at those who were quick to judge:
“I appreciate all my colleagues who reached out to make sure I don’t overreact or feel bad about the whole drama. Some were quick to judge, while some remained indifferent.”
Reflecting on how things fell apart, he admitted that while change is inevitable, the way it unfolded was far from how he envisioned:
“It only confirms that change is a constant thing. Though the way it happened was never how I wanted it, it happened anyway. I’m coming out to say all this now because my son will grow up, and we all know that the Internet never forgets.”
In a rather bold statement, he accused Ifeluv of manipulating public perception to paint herself as the victim:
“It is becoming clear that this is about creating a narrative and playing a pity card to damage my reputation. But if standing my ground and defending myself makes me a manipulator and narcissist in some people’s eyes, so be it.”
He doubled down on his claim that Ifeluv relentlessly pressured him into the engagement:
“You pressured me every day to propose to you, and now you are asking why I proposed.”
