The arrest, which took place at the Nyanya bus terminal in Abuja on Monday, March 24, 2025, resulted in the seizure of 488 rounds of AK-47 live ammunition.

The operation was conducted in collaboration with officials from the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), who provided valuable assistance in tracking and apprehending the suspect, Nuhu Aminu, a 32-year-old man from Katsina State.

The ammunition was discovered concealed within two 25-liter jerrycans filled with palm oil, a tactic used to evade detection.
