The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a yet-to-be-identified suspect involved in illegal oil bunkering.
The suspect was arrested with a large boat carrying illegally acquired crude oil.
This was disclosed in a post shared on the NSCDC X account in the late hours of Wednesday.
According to the statement, the operation led to the confiscation and destruction of the boat, along with a large pour-put reservoir filled with an unquantifiable volume of stolen crude oil.
The post read, “Arrest of one suspect, Confiscation and Destruction of a Large Boat Containing Illegally Acquired Crude Oil and Large Pour-Put Reservoir Filled with Unquantifiable Volume of Stolen Crude Oil.”
