Nigerian music star Skales finally met Barcelona’s teenage sensation, Lamine Yamal, after his 2015 hit, “Shake Body,” unexpectedly became the soundtrack of Barcelona’s Copa del Rey celebrations.
The meeting happened after Barcelona’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Real Madrid on Saturday, April 26, at the Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla, where Yamal played a key role in the win.
“Shake Body” had gained fresh popularity across Europe after a viral clip showed Yamal, Nico Williams, and Samu Omorodion dancing to the track, sparking the #ShakeBodyChallenge on social media and boosting Skales’ streaming numbers.
Ahead of the final, Skales shared a video on his social media pages, where he danced the #ShakeBodyChallenge alongside Yamal’s mother, Sheila Ebana, and his younger brother, Keyne.

Skales captioned the post, “I just met Lamine Yamal’s mom!! Now I see it runs in the family!!! Oya Shakebody.”
“Shake Body” is currently at #31 on Spain Spotify Viral chart, with a peak ranking of #16.
During the match, Yamal assisted Barcelona’s first two goals before Jules Koundé’s late winner sealed the title.
After the celebrations, Skales and Yamal met in person, capturing the full-circle moment with cheerful selfies and videos , a perfect blend of music and football magic.
