The Delta State Police Command has arrested a yet-to-be-identified hotel manager who allegedly murdered a Point of Sale (POS) lady in the Owhelogbo area of the state.

According to police reports, the hotel manager had confessed to the crime and the deceased machine was earlier recovered at the hotel premises.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a post shared on his X handle on Tuesday.

First News correspondent on Tuesday learnt that, the victim had visited the hotel to demand payment allegedly owed to her by the manager but was reportedly killed by the suspect.

The hotel manager, however, claimed that the reason he commited the murder was because the victim tarnished his reputation.

The suspect confessed that he forced the victim to reveal the password to her POS machine, which he later used to collect a ransom payment before taking her life.
