The English Premier League (EPL) trophy made a grand appearance in Lagos on Sunday, May 18, as Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu received the prestigious silverware at the Lagos House in Marina.
The trophy was brought in by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Guinness Nigeria Plc, Girish Sharma, alongside his team, as part of a tour aimed at engaging fans and celebrating the brand’s association with the world-renowned football league.
Taking to his official Facebook page, Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed his delight at hosting the iconic trophy and praised the initiative as a symbol of collaboration between sports and corporate support.

“We had a good conversation about sports, collaboration, and how organisations like Guinness can help support growth, community development, and create opportunities for young people in Lagos,” the governor stated.
