Makinde Renames Ibadan Polytechnic After Late Gov Olunloyo

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Thursday, June 26, announced that The Polytechnic, Ibadan will now be known as Omololu Olunloyo Polytechnic, Ibadan, in honour of the late former governor.

Makinde made the announcement during a brief speech at the interdenominational commendation service for Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan.

“The institution will now be known as Omololu Olunloyo Polytechnic, Ibadan,” Makinde stated.

Olunloyo, who passed away just weeks before his 90th birthday, was the pioneer rector of the institution before becoming governor of the state.
