Saudi Arabian authorities have granted approval for the burial of renowned Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, in the holy city of Madina.
The announcement was made by his Principal Private Secretary, Mustapha Junaid, in a statement shared on his official Facebook page on Sunday.
According to Junaid, the burial is scheduled for Monday morning.
“Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulilah Alhamdulillah, I have received approval to take Aminu Alhassan Dantata from Abu Dhabi to Madina, he will be buried tomorrow morning by the grace of Allah,” the statement read.

It had earlier been revealed by the family that Dantata, who died in Dubai at the age of 94, wished to be laid to rest in Madina beside his wife, Rabi’a, who passed away in 2023.
In his honour, a special Islamic funeral prayer, Salatul Ga’ib, was held in Kano on Saturday.
The event drew thousands of mourners, including prominent figures such as Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin and other dignitaries.
