A Nigerian businesswoman has gone viral after posting an emotional video detailing her ordeal at a U.S. airport, where she was denied entry despite holding a valid visa.
In the video, which has been trending online since Sunday, the distraught woman said she had travelled to Texas to attend a trade fair using a B1/B2 visa—a category issued for business or tourism purposes.
However, upon arrival, she was reportedly detained for 24 hours and subjected to intense interrogation by immigration officials.
According to her, U.S. border agents checked her Instagram account and questioned her travel intentions based on its content.
In tears as she recorded herself aboard a return flight to Nigeria, she described the experience as humiliating and emotionally draining.
“I was denied entrance into the US and that is because my visa [is] a B1–B2 visa which is [for] tourism/business meetings,” she explained tearfully.

“When I landed, I was detained for 24 hours and I was questioned. I told them I was going to exhibit but I did not know any better because the US has your data and your Instagram page.”
The woman recounted how US immigration officers thoroughly examined her social media accounts and private messages with customers, using the content they found to question and ultimately dispute the reason she gave for her trip.
Speaking through tears, she said: “Apparently, my Instagram says differently. They even checked all my messages with my customers.
“The customers I have been telling that we are coming, they can’t pick up and all of that.”
