BREAKING: Police Seal Off PDP National Secretariat in Abuja

With rising tension ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for the 30th of June, 2025, security presence has intensified at the party’s headquarters.

Heavily armed police officers were spotted around the premises, following what a party official described as an attempt “to stop the proposed NEC Expanded Caucus Meeting.”

Initially, entry into the secretariat was not restricted, as “some staff members of the party were allowed to go into the premises of the secretariat without any resistance from the police.”

That changed shortly after, as those same staff were asked to vacate the building.

As of press time, media personnel had also been cleared from the scene.

Meanwhile, officers were seen blocking access along Dalaba Street, the major route to Wadata Plaza.
