Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Kaduna Zonal Directorate, have arrested 33 suspected internet fraudsters.
Twenty-nine of the suspects were arrested on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 in Minna, Niger State, while the remaining four were arrested Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in Unguwan Mai Gero area of Kaduna State.
According to a statement by the anti-graft agency on Thursday, the arrests followed credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.

Items recovered from the suspects include 46 smartphones, two iPads, 11 laptops and one PlayStation.
The Commission stated that they will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
