Tinubu Postpones Special FEC Session for Buhari’s Burial

The planned special Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting set for Tuesday, the 15th of July 2025, to honour the late Muhammadu Buhari has been postponed.

This change is due to the state burial scheduled for Tuesday in Daura, Katsina State, where Buhari will be laid to rest.

According to a statement issued by presidential aide Bayo Onanuga, the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation will communicate a new date after the burial.

President Bola Tinubu had initially called for the session to pay tribute to Buhari’s “invaluable contributions to Nigeria.”
