Lookman Gives Inter Milan Green Light – Final Decision Rests with Atalanta

In what could be one of the biggest transfer twists of the summer, Ademola Lookman has said Yes to a move to Inter Milan, according to sources close to the negotiations.

The deal, however, now hangs in the balance as Inter await Atalanta’s final approval.

Lookman, 27, is understood to have agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri after weeks of speculation linking him to the Serie A giants.

His stellar form last season — where he netted 18 goals and provided 9 assists across all competitions — made him one of the most sought-after names in Italian football.

Despite Inter’s clear interest and Lookman’s readiness to join, the transfer cannot proceed without Atalanta’s consent.

The Bergamo-based club is reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of €50–55 million, while Inter are said to be negotiating for a slightly lower figure, possibly involving performance-related bonuses.

Inter Milan, fresh off their title-winning campaign, are reshaping their attack for next season.

Lookman’s pace, creativity, and versatility across the front line make him a perfect fit for Cristian Chivu’s tactical plans.

Club sources have described the player’s willingness to join as a “major step forward”, with discussions now shifting entirely to the clubs’ negotiations.

Atalanta, who are preparing for European competition again this season, face a tough decision.

While cashing in on Lookman could boost their financial strength and allow for multiple reinforcements, losing such a key player might weaken their squad depth.

For now, fans wait with bated breath.

Will Atalanta cash in or keep their star forward for another season?
