Arsenal Sign Young Talent Zecevic-John as Liverpool Close In on Ekitike

Arsenal have officially announced that teenage prospect Louis Zecevic-John has signed his first professional contract with the club, marking a major milestone in the young midfielder’s development.

The announcement was made on Friday via the club’s official website, with the Gunners emphasizing their belief in the player’s future potential.

The 18-year-old signed the deal at the Sobha Realty Training Centre, having joined Arsenal’s youth setup in December 2020.

“Louis has shown promising development, and this contract is a reward for his continued hard work. Now, the challenge is to fulfill that potential,” the club stated.

While fans are eager to see new faces break into the senior team, it remains uncertain whether Zecevic-John will feature prominently under manager Mikel Arteta this season, especially given Arsenal’s deep midfield options and ambitions for silverware.

In other transfer news, Liverpool have made progress in their pursuit of Hugo Ekitike, with Sky Germany reporting that personal terms with the Eintracht Frankfurt forward are nearly finalized.

The only hurdle left in the deal is reaching an agreement on the transfer fee between the two clubs, which are believed to be in advanced discussions.

Ekitike, known for his pace and composure in front of goal, is seen as a valuable addition to a Liverpool squad that clinched the Premier League title last season but is keen on strengthening its attack to stay ahead of rivals.

With the summer window in full swing, both Arsenal and Liverpool appear to be making strategic moves — one focused on the future, the other on immediate firepower.
