Nigeria’s women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, booked their place in the semifinals of the 2025 AfroBasket Women Championship after a commanding 83-47 victory over Cameroon on Thursday in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
The dominant win sees D’Tigress maintain their remarkable unbeaten run on the continent, stretching back to 2017, as they continue their bid for a fourth consecutive AfroBasket title.
Returning skipper Sarah Ogoke made a statement with a trademark three-pointer, marking her return to the squad with a bang.
In a show of team depth and cohesion, all 12 Nigerian players got on the scoresheet, highlighting the team’s balanced offense and ruthless execution.
