D’Tigress Defeat Senegal 75–68, Reach Fifth Consecutive Women’s AfroBasket Final

Nigeria’s women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, have booked their spot in the final of the 2025 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket after a hard-fought 75–68 victory over Senegal in Saturday’s semifinal clash.

The win marks D’Tigress‘ fifth straight AfroBasket final appearance, as the reigning champions continue their quest for a historic fifth consecutive continental title.

Facing a resilient Senegalese side at the BK Arena in Kigali, the Nigerian team had to dig deep.

The game was tightly contested from tip-off, with both sides trading baskets and defensive stops.

But in the fourth quarter, D’Tigress pulled ahead with clutch shooting, smart ball movement, and defensive composure.
