Troops Arrest Woman With Military Uniform, Loaded Magazines in Katsina

Troops of Operation Fansan Yanma, in a coordinated security effort, have arrested a female suspect in Malumfashi town, Katsina State, after she was found in possession of military gear and three loaded magazines.

The woman was reportedly intercepted around 1 a.m. at a routine checkpoint while attempting to leave the town under suspicious circumstances.

Upon searching her belongings, security operatives discovered a full military uniform, camouflage trousers, a tactical jacket, several mobile phones, and other security-related items — including the loaded ammunition magazines — all concealed in her travel bag.

In a video shared on X and seen by First Daily correspondent on Tuesday, the suspect was being interrogated by the military.

According to report, investigations are ongoing to determine her affiliations and broader motives.

Though her identity has not yet been disclosed, officials involved in the operation suspect she may be linked to a network involved in supplying weapons and military equipment to terrorist groups operating in the region.
