Police to Investigate KWAM 1 Over Alleged Unruly Conduct at Abuja Airport

The Nigeria Police Force has launched an investigation into Fuji music legend, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, following a petition by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) over an incident at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

According to the NCAA, the incident occurred on August 5, and allegedly involved unruly behaviour by the musician, which reportedly obstructed the safe operation of an aircraft in violation of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, 2023.

In a statement shared on the NPF’s Facebook page on Tuesday night, the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the Commissioner of Police, Airport Command, to carry out a thorough investigation to establish the facts surrounding the case.

“The investigation aims to unravel the circumstances which led to the incident and ensure justice is served accordingly,” the statement read.
