Fresh FM Ibadan in Flames as Fire Hits Station

Fresh FM, the popular radio station owned by gospel singer Yinka Ayefele, has been gutted by fire in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The incident occurred on Friday, with eyewitnesses saying the fire broke out in the early hours. The cause has yet to be determined. Emergency crews from the Oyo State Fire Service were deployed to contain the blaze. The extent of damage and any possible casualties had not been confirmed at press time.

This is not the first major incident involving the station. In August 2018, part of the Music House complex, which houses Fresh FM, was demolished by the Oyo State Government over alleged structural violations, a move that sparked widespread criticism.

Fresh FM is among the most listened-to stations in Oyo State and has expanded to other parts of the country since its establishment.
