Founder of Agidigbo 88.7 FM, Ibadan, Oriyomi Hamzat, on Tuesday, tendered an apology to Nigerian singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley.
Hamzat also announced the lifting of the ban earlier imposed on Marlian songs by the station following the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.
Recall that MohBad, the former Marlian Records signee, died on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the age of 27.
It will also be recalled that Oriyomi had since 2024 placed a ban on Marley songs on the radio station over the allegations of being involved in Mohbad’s death
Hamzat, who made this public apology on his radio station, said Agidigbo would henceforth resume playing Malian songs.

He expressed regret for thinking the worst of the singer.
The broadcaster said, “I am very sorry for all my provocative statements or words to Naira Marley. And now at the Agidigbo radio station, we have lifted our legs up to march Satan and overcome obstacles.
“From today onward, I am raising the ban that was placed on the singer’s tracks at Agidigbo FM. We can now be playing Naira Marley songs at our radio station.”
To affirm his directive, he immediately played one of Marley’s songs, “Tesumole.”
