Mr. Garba Muhammad Al-Hadejawi, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi, has reacted to the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) zoning of its 2027 presidential ticket to the South, calling it a boost for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term prospects.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Al-Hadejawi noted that the PDP’s zoning stance offers “another chance for Tinubu to go again come 2027,” while also opening the door for the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
“It is an opportunity for the mighty Wike… and a clear road for Tinubu to go again come 2027,” he wrote, closing the post with laughter.
His comments came shortly after the PDP’s 102nd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja on Monday, the 25th of August, 2025, where members adopted the recommendations of the Zoning Committee led by Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, confirmed that the presidential ticket would be zoned to the South. He also said the current zoning structure of the National Working Committee will remain in place for the November elective convention.
Ologunagba stressed the PDP’s “unwavering commitment to democracy, the defense of citizens’ interest and well-being, and the ongoing repositioning of the party to reclaim power in 2027.”
