Jennifer Awele, widow of the late Nollywood actor Junior Pope Odonwodo, has condemned the unauthorized sharing of photos featuring her and her children at a family funeral, accusing the person responsible of violating her trust and disregarding her explicit instructions.
The incident occurred over the weekend during the burial of her father-in-law in Enugu State.
Jennifer revealed that she had sternly instructed the individual not to post any images online.
Although assurances were given that her wishes would be respected, the person went ahead to upload the photos.
In a strongly worded Instagram story on Monday, September 1, 2025, Jennifer expressed outrage:
“You were sternly warned not to post pictures of my kids and I on social media. You attended a funeral to create content, which is okay, but kindly exclude Junior Pope’s kids and wife from your BS. You agreed you wouldn’t post, only to do otherwise.”

She added that the individual further posted a photo capturing her warning and captioned it: “Ifeel loved meeting the family for the first time.” Really???
“Oh well, I won’t tag you, but very certain you’d see this. Do your shit, but kindly take my kids and I off your drama!!!! Sincerely, never been this pissed!” Jennifer wrote.
The mother of three emphasized her main priority is protecting her children from unnecessary public exposure, describing the breach as insensitive and disrespectful to the family’s grief.
Junior Pope, 42, tragically died in April 2024 in a boat accident on the Anam River in Anambra State.
His burial drew widespread tributes from fans and colleagues in Nollywood. Since then, Jennifer has maintained a low profile while raising their children.
