Hilda Baci Hosts Gino Jollof Festival in Record-Breaking Attempt

Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has embarked on a new culinary milestone as she attempts to cook the world’s largest pot of Nigerian jollof rice at the Gino Jollof Festival, held at Eko Hotel and Suites on Friday, September 12.

The record-breaking effort, which follows Baci’s Guinness World Record win in 2023 for the longest cooking marathon, is being held in partnership with culinary brand Gino. The event is drawing massive public interest, with organisers confirming over 20,000 registered attendees.

The centrepiece of the historic event is a giant custom-built pot measuring six metres in height and width, into which 250 bags of rice are expected to be cooked. The festival promises a taste of Nigerian jollof on a scale never seen before.

Social media influencers and content creators Enioluwa Adeoluwa and Tomike Adeoye were among the first public figures to arrive in support of Bacii

Enioluwa, a long-time supporter of the chef, shared heartfelt words of encouragement via Instagram, praising her for her resilience and drive.

“There’s truly nothing you set your mind to that you don’t achieve,” he wrote. “I’m cheering you on with all my heart… I love you endlessly. Go Hilda, go!”
