The Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) of ‘A’ Division in Suleja, Niger State, was reportedly attacked and killed at his residence in the early hours of Sunday.
The killing reflects a disturbing trend of escalating violence against security operatives in Niger State and across Nigeria.
First Daily reported that bandits launched another deadly attack in Ilafin community, Isanlu, Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State, killing two police officers on duty.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning when the gunmen stormed a police checkpoint in the community.
A video cited by First Daily on Facebook shows good men on bike rushing to the scene to rescue the victims, though the officers’ lifeless bodies could be seen lying on the ground.
