The win ensured the People’s Elephant maintained their spot at the top of the table with 11 points after five matches.

However, Enyimba’s resilience and attacking quality eventually made the difference as they secured maximum points in front of their home fans.
In other fixtures over the weekend, Shooting Stars continued their solid form by edging newly promoted Kun Khalifa 2-1, while Niger Tornadoes produced one of the standout performances, beating Ikorodu City 4-2 in a high-scoring contest.
