The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says 7,415,760 Nigerians have completed their online pre-registration as part of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise for week eight, covering October 6 to 12, 2025.
The update, released by the commission on Monday, October 13, showed that the online registration process, which began on August 18, 2025, continues to attract millions of new voters ahead of future elections.
According to INEC, 3,877,330 of the pre-registrants were female, representing 52.28 percent, while 3,538,430 were male, accounting for 47.72 percent.
The youth demographic dominated the figures, with 5,095,056 aged between 18 and 34.
INEC also recorded 1,873,848 students among the registrants, while 168,680 were Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

Borno State topped the list with 783,546 pre-registrations, followed by Osun with 632,751, Lagos with 590,341, Kebbi with 557,778, and Ogun with 489,282. Kaduna recorded 471,375, Kano 388,354, and Kogi 341,277.
At the lower end, Enugu recorded 19,966 pre-registrations, Ondo 17,121, Ebonyi 12,489, Edo 11,166, while Abia posted the lowest with 6,038.
In a related update, INEC said 1,502,733 Nigerians completed both online and physical registration during week seven (October 6–10, 2025). .
The gender breakdown showed 828,563 females (55.14 percent) and 674,170 males (44.86 percent).
The commission noted that while the South-West had previously led in voter registration, recent figures revealed growing participation in northern states, particularly Borno and Kebbi, following intensified mobilisation by community and religious leaders.
