The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining religious balance and unity among all faiths in Ibadan.
The monarch gave this assurance when a delegation from the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) visited him at his palace in Oke Aremo on Thursday, the 23rd of October, 2025.
During the visit, Oba Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State, emphasized that religious tension has no place in Ibadan, stressing that families in the city have members who practice Christianity, Islam, and African Traditional Religion.
He thanked the RCCG representatives for their courtesy visit and urged them to keep praying for Ibadanland, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole.
He said, “There cannot be a religious crisis in Ibadanland as there is no family compound without the adherents of the various religions, particularly Christianity, Islam and African Traditional Religion.”

“Any traditional ruler including Olubadan of Ibadanland is the father of all religions and such a traditional ruler should preach harmony and religious tolerance among all religious faithfuls.”
In his message, the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, conveyed his congratulations to Oba Ladoja on his ascension as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Speaking through Pastor Sola Adeyeye, a member of the RCCG Board of Trustees and National Coordinator of the Royal Fathers’ Fellowship, Adeboye promised that the church would continue to provide spiritual backing for peace, progress, and unity throughout Ladoja’s reign.
