American singer, songwriter, and dancer Ciara is in Lagos as the city takes centre stage for the 2025 Lagos Fashion Week, one of Africa’s leading showcases of style, creativity, and culture.
Her arrival on October 29, 2025, was facilitated by Delphino Entertainment in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
While organisers have not officially stated the purpose of her visit, it is widely believed to be linked to activities surrounding Lagos Fashion Week, which runs through November 2.
Ciara was warmly received at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport with a bouquet of flowers and a colourful welcome display by traditional dance groups, setting an energetic tone for her visit.
Delphino Entertainment confirmed her arrival through its verified social media pages, writing: “An incredible honour hosting @Ciara with Lagos Tourism, sharing the pulse of our city, its people, and the magic that makes Lagos unforgettable.”
In line with her wish to experience housing in Lagos , a private luxury apartment was specially prepared to make her feel at home.
The apartment featured a customised pillow embroidered with her name “Ciara” and framed family photographs, creating a warm and homely ambience.

She is expected to remain in Lagos until Monday, November 3, attending select private engagements, including the Delphino Brunch scheduled for Sunday, November 2, at the Lagos Polo Club, Ikoyi.
The Delphino Brunch, a highly exclusive lifestyle event combining music, fashion, and fine dining, is anticipated to draw top personalities from Nigeria’s entertainment, fashion, and business scenes.
Officials from Lagos State Tourism said hosting Ciara aligns with the state’s broader objective of positioning Lagos as Africa’s creative and cultural capital.
Ciara’s presence brings added international spotlight to the 15th-anniversary edition of Lagos Fashion Week, further underscoring the city’s influence on the continent’s growing fashion and entertainment industries.
