Police Debunk Assassination Claim on Lt. Yerima.

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command has dismissed a viral report, purporting that a naval officer who recently had a heated exchange with the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike escaped assassination attempt.

Reports began circulating late Sunday night alleging a disturbing sequence of events.

The unverified claims suggested that the officer was trailed by unidentified riders in two unmarked Hilux vans with no number plates and dressed in black.

Specifically, the report detailed that the vehicles that followed the officer followed him from the NIPCO Filling Station off the Line Expressway to Gado Nasco Way.

However, the FCT Police Command has strongly refuted these claims. Reacting, the FCT Police in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Josephine Adeh said there was no such incident in Abuja.
