The Nigeria Police Complaint Response Unit marked its 10th anniversary on Friday, November 21, 2025 with the launch of a nationwide sensitisation campaign aimed at strengthening public trust and improving accountability across police formations.
The CRU said the new outreach programme will broaden public awareness on how to file complaints, track cases and receive timely feedback.
The initiative includes community engagements, statewide roadshows, digital information pushes and expanded media interaction.
Police authorities noted that more than 16,000 complaints have been resolved by the unit since its establishment, positioning the CRU as one of the most critical accountability tools within the Nigeria Police.
