Scottish football giants Rangers have dismissed chief executive Patrick Stewart and sporting director Kevin Thelwell, the club announced on Monday, citing a misalignment with their “vision for the next chapter.”
Both officials had faced criticism from fans following a difficult start to the season, which included the sacking of former manager Russell Martin in October after just one victory in his first seven league games.
Stewart, a former Manchester United chief executive, joined Rangers in December, while Thelwell took up his role in April after leaving Everton at the end of last season.

Under new manager Danny Rohl, Rangers have recorded four consecutive league wins but remain nine points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts.
