Netflix to Launch Official FIFA Game Ahead of 2026 World Cup

Netflix is taking football fandom to the next level. On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, the streaming giant announced that it will release an official FIFA‑branded football simulation game timed to coincide with the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The game, being developed and published by Delphi Interactive, will be available exclusively through Netflix Games for Netflix members.

Designed to be fast to learn and broadly accessible, it will offer both solo play and online multiplayer experiences.

Players will be able to play on mobile devices and select smart TVs, using a smartphone as a controller.

Alain Tascan, President of Games at Netflix, described the World Cup as “the cultural event of 2026” and said the new game will let fans bring the excitement of the tournament “right into their living rooms.”

FIFA President Gianni Infantino called the partnership a “major collaboration” in the evolution of football gaming, aimed at reaching billions of fans worldwide.

The title marks FIFA’s return to an officially licensed video game following the end of its long partnership with EA Sports, which concluded in 2023.

Netflix has not yet announced a specific release date or full set of gameplay features, but the game is expected to launch during summer 2026, alongside the World Cup.
