NSCDC Decorates 265 Promoted Officers In Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has decorated 265 officers and men with their new ranks following recent promotions approved by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board.

The decoration ceremony was held at the Command Headquarters in Kano and was presided over by the State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama.

This was disclosed in a statement released on Friday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi.

Congratulating the newly promoted officers, Agalama described the promotion as a recognition of dedication, discipline and commitment to duty, urging them to view their new ranks as a call to higher responsibility and service.

“Your elevation is in recognition of your dedication, discipline, selfless service and commitment to duty,” the commandant said.

He charged the officers to uphold the core values of the Corps, including integrity, patriotism, loyalty, professionalism and respect for constituted authority, in the discharge of their duties.

Agalama also warned against acts of indiscipline and unprofessional conduct, stressing that the Command would not tolerate any behaviour capable of bringing the Corps into disrepute.

He added that professionalism, teamwork and strict adherence to operational guidelines remain critical to achieving the Corps’ mandate of protecting critical national assets and ensuring public safety across Kano State.

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including a member representing Wudil/Garko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abdulhakim Kamilu Ado, senior officers of the Command, representatives of sister security agencies, family members and well-wishers.
