Rapper Nicki Minaj shared a photo of a Trump-branded “Gold Card” on her social media following her appearance at a political event in Washington, D.C.
The image was posted on X on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, showing a card featuring President Donald Trump’s portrait, a bald eagle, and the Statue of Liberty.
Minaj captioned the post “Welp…” and later wrote that she was “finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak,” describing herself as “probably the president’s number one fan.”
The Trump Gold Card is part of a U.S. immigration initiative offering a fast-track route to lawful permanent residency and a potential path to citizenship for foreign nationals who make a substantial financial contribution and meet background and security vetting requirements.

Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Minaj moved to the United States as a child. She has previously confirmed she is not a U.S. citizen despite living and working in the country for decades.
It is not publicly confirmed whether she has completed the application process or whether any fees were waived.
Her social media posts have drawn attention for combining a personal announcement with a public show of support for the Trump administration’s gold card program.
