Eight Months, 13 Wins: Spurs End Thomas Frank Era After Poor Form

Tottenham Hotspur have sacked manager Thomas Frank after less than eight months in charge, following Tuesday night’s 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United.

The loss proved to be the final straw for the Spurs hierarchy, with the club languishing in 16th place in the Premier League table and sitting just five points above the relegation zone.

Frank’s departure comes amid a deeply concerning run of form. Tottenham are now winless in their last eight Premier League matches — their longest drought without a league victory since October 2008.

Appointed with high expectations, Frank struggled to steady a side that has looked increasingly fragile in recent weeks.

Defensive lapses, inconsistent performances, and a lack of cutting edge in attack have compounded Spurs’ problems.

In total, Frank won 13 of his 38 matches in charge across all competitions, recording a 34 percent win rate.

While there were flashes of promise earlier in his tenure, the team’s dramatic slide down the table ultimately cost him his job.

Club officials are expected to appoint an interim manager as they begin the search for a permanent replacement tasked with steering Spurs away from a potential relegation battle.

For a club that began the season targeting European qualification, the immediate priority is now survival.
