Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Maiduguri Zonal Directorate, have arrested three Maiduguri-based socialites for alleged Naira abuse.
The suspects are Jibrin Bukar, Dauda Adamu and Abdullahi Mohammed.
The EFCC made this known in a statement shared on its Facebook page on Tuesday night.
According to the statement, Bukar, Adamu and Mohammed were arrested following a viral video circulated on social media where they were seen spraying the Naira notes.

The commission noted that, working on intelligence, the operatives traced the trio and arrested them in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The anti-graft agency said the suspects are currently under investigation and they will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
