Academy, FCT Education Secretariat Unveil Body Scan AI

The DAMA Academy, in partnership with the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation under the FCT Education Secretariat, Abuja, has unveiled Body Scan AI, a health innovation powered by blockchain and digital assets.

The unveiling took place on Tuesday during a press conference on blockchain, digital assets, and artificial intelligence held in Abuja.

DAMA Academy Chief Executive Officer, Nwankwo Ozioma, described Body Scan AI as a convergence of artificial intelligence, blockchain infrastructure, and digital assets designed to improve healthcare delivery and data management.

He explained that the innovation uses AI-powered diagnostic tools to support health workers while leveraging blockchain technology to ensure transparency, security, and integrity of medical records. The initiative also integrates a digital asset called the $SCANAI token to facilitate incentives and promote participation within a decentralized health ecosystem.

Ozioma said the system allows health workers to use AI diagnostic tools, ensures patients have secure, immutable health records, enables instant payments and incentives via blockchain, and encourages community participation through the SCANAI token.

Ozioma also urged media practitioners to promote informed reporting on blockchain, AI, and digital assets to enhance public understanding and encourage responsible engagement.

The unveiling marks the beginning of broader advocacy aimed at promoting ethical AI deployment, consumer education, and collaboration among government agencies, investors, and technology innovators.
