2027: Fintiri Pledges To Deliver 85% Of Adamawa Votes For Tinubu

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has promised that the state will deliver at least 85 per cent of its votes to President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Fintiri made the pledge on Wednesday, March 4, during a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda.

First Daily reports that the visit followed the governor’s recent defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling APC.

His move to the party also came with members of his cabinet and a large segment of the PDP structure in Adamawa State.

During the meeting, the governor reaffirmed his commitment to the APC and declared support for President Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

He said his decision to join the ruling party was driven by a desire to strengthen the APC, promote national unity, and support development efforts in Adamawa State.

Fintiri also said the move would help consolidate support for the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“I assure you that Adamawa State would deliver at least 85% of the votes for President Tinubu and the APC in the upcoming polls,” he said.

Responding, the APC National Chairman, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda, welcomed the governor’s assurances and described the development as significant for the party.

Yilwatda noted that defections by prominent political figures would help strengthen the APC and enhance party unity ahead of future elections.
