The announcement came on Friday, the 13th of March, 2026, through a statement released in Akure by the Chief Registrar of the Ondo State High Court, Mr Ayodeji Akinsanya.

According to Akinsanya, the judiciary received the news with grief. He described the late judge as a respected member of the bench who served as the presiding judge of High Court 5 in Akure.

“It is with deep sorrow and profound grief that the Ondo State Judiciary announces the passing of Hon. Justice B. F. Adeyeye, a distinguished jurist and serving Judge of High Court 5, Akure.

The statement said his time as a judge reflected a clear commitment to fairness and the rule of law. It added that he handled his duties with balance and careful attention to justice.

Colleagues in the legal profession also held him in high regard. Lawyers, court officials and members of the public often spoke about his calm manner and disciplined approach to cases before him.

The judiciary noted that his work left a mark on the justice system in Ondo State. His decisions and years of service, it said, played a role in strengthening the administration of justice in the state.
