Nigerian artists earned over N60 billion from Spotify in 2025, the streaming service reported this in its annual review on Monday,, the 16th of March, 2026.
The report highlighted a revenue growth of more than 140 per cent for Nigerian artists over the past two years.
It showed that independent artists or labels accounted for about 58 per cent of all royalties generated by Nigerian artists on Spotify in 2025.
According to the report, Nigerian music accumulated 30.3 billion streams and 1.6 billion listening hours during the year.

Streams by Nigerian female artists also saw a 55 per cent increase in 2025.
The report noted that Nigerian music continued to gain international attention, appearing in nearly 320 million user playlists globally and more than 12 million playlists within Nigeria.
Overall, Spotify users created over 60 million playlists featuring Nigerian artists in 2025.
